Goldberg's Variations
By Dan Gordon

In the lab, CNSI Prof. Bob Goldberg's research in genetic engineering may lead to new generations of superplants. But it is in the classroom where his influence perhaps is greatest, as he sows the seeds that will blossom into the newest crop of young scientists. Read more in UCLA Magazine...

Imaging & Spectroscopy

Molecular imaging ranging from the atom to the entire patient is a key aspect of all CNSI research. The basement level of the main UCLA building will house bio-imaging facilities. The Crump Molecular Imaging Institute will move into a portion of this space and other facilities will include state-of-the-art cryo-TEM for bio systems and optical imaging tools. Complementary facilities, focusing on materials imaging, will be housed in the main building at UCSB.
