Multidisciplinary Lab Courses
The CNSI will focus on multidisciplinary laboratory courses that exploit CNSI facilities and give students hands-on experience conducting experiments with cutting-edge equipment used for nanoscale science and engineering. Combining the leading position of UCLA in biomedical research with UCSB's excellence in materials research will enable the CNSI to introduce a broad array of integrated technologies to students at early stages in their education. Lab courses based at research facilities will be a uniquely powerful benefit of the CNSI. Additional possibilities for multidisciplinary laboratory courses include:
