Interests:
Development of novel optoelectronic devices for the next generation of optical networks. We utilize techniques such as MBE and MOCVD to fuse disimilar materials together for new devices and improved performance, leading, e.g., to fused vertical-cavity lasers, amplifiers, and 3D photonic integrated circuits. Other directions include InP-based and Si-based microcoolers.
